Dave Grohl’s eight-year-old daughter drummed for Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters played Iceland’s Secret Solstice Festival over the weekend with the help of an unexpected special guest. Fitting for Father’s Day, Dave Grohl’s eight-year-old daughter Harper backed her dad and the rest of the Foos in a cover of Queen’s “We Will Rock You.”

Grohl says it was easy to get his daughter to come to work with him:

About 2 weeks ago, my daughter said ‘Daddy, I want to play the drums.” And I said, ‘Do you want want me to teach you?’ She said, ‘Yes.’ And then I said, ‘Do you want to get up in front of 20,000 people in Iceland and play?’ And she said, ‘Yes.’

He wrapped by saying “Ladies and gentleman, welcome the next generation… there’s another Grohl on the drum set now.”

Foo Fighters also debuted a new track titled “Lah Di Da.” Check it out on fan-shot footage below.
