12 Ways YOU Can Support Fair Trade!

1.  Vote
Every Fair Trade purchase you make is a vote for a better world. Vote with your dollar, look for the Fair Trade Certified label, and buy Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate, rice, sugar, flowers and other products when you shop!

2.  Learn
Read about why we need Fair Trade and how it benefits farmers, farm workers and the environment. You'll find lots of helpful organizing tools, fact sheet and links on:

3.  Get Involved
Join the conversation at
www.facebook.com/fairtradecertified and www.twitter.com/fairtradeusa.  You can also subscribe to their e-newsletter and keep abreast of new Fair Trade products, creative promotional campaigns and Fair Trade in the news by visiting www.fairtradecertified.org.

4.  Share
Tell your friends, family and co-workers about Fair Trade.  Publish an article in your campus newspaper or church newsletter.  To get you started, examples can be found on

5.  Give
Fair Trade products - chocolate, flowers, coffee, tea, etc. - make wonderful gifts - gifts that give twice!

6.  Donate
Fairtradecertified.org relies on your tax-deductible contributions to be able to continue their work with farmers and farm workers in some of the poorest communities around the world.

7.  Host
Fair Trade House Parties, film screenings and product tastings are great ways to raise awareness and educate others in your community about the importance of Fair Trade.  Fairtradecertified.org offers tools and materials to help you host a successful and fun event!

8.  Ask
If you don't see Fair Trade products in your favorite coffee shop, restaurant or grocery store, ask for them! Fill out a comment card or talk to a store manager. Businesses respond well to consumer demand for sustainable goods. Free Action Cards and other promotional tools to support efforts are available through

9.  Serve
Enjoy Fair Trade products like tea and coffee at your place of worship. Thousands of faith groups across the country are active in selling, serving and educating about Fair Trade in their congregations, as a tangible way to live out their values and make a difference for the world's poor.

10.  Raise
Sell Fair Trade chocolates and other items as a fundraiser for your school, church or community group. Contact

11.  Start
