KFOG Music Director Kelly Ransford gets your Saturday started off right with a rockin' 2 hour show from 10-12pm and she caps off your Weekend KFOG every Sunday night from 9-11pm with Side Show. Side Show is an eclectic mix of studio and live cuts from "Artists to Watch" emerging on to the music scene, while also blending in some regular favorites.
You'll be introduced to emerging artists such as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, White Rabbits, Dr. Dog, Department of Eagles, Neko Case and the XX, to name a few, while also hearing deeper tracks and rarities from favorites like Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Beck and Radiohead. Artists coming through the Bay Area to play local clubs will be spotlighted as well.
The 2 hours highlight a range of genres, from Rock, Alternative, Americana, and Singer-Songwriters to Trip Hop and Electronica. Emerging artists, Side Show favorites, live studio sessions, rarities, requests...it's everything you want a KFOG Side Show to be!
