As Adele finishes the final 4 shows of her sold-out ’25’ tour at Wembley Stadium in London, she leaves fans some sad news in a very heartfelt way – a handwritten letter. “I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home,” the singer said.
The note details her 15-month trek, playing sold out crowds all through the UK, Europe, across North America, through New Zealand, and down to Australia. All in all, the Grammy award-winning recording artist will have played 123 shows as she wraps up the last legs of her tour in London on July 2nd. Adele concluded her note with a sincere thank you to all of her fans:
I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artists have had on me live. And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home. Thank you for coming, for all of your ridiculous love and kindness. I will remember all of this for the rest of my life.
Adele has won a slew of awards for 25, a record that not only took home Album of the Year at the Grammys but also Record and Song of the Year for her single “Hello.”
The singer also mentioned that although she was never planning on touring again, she will continue to record music and put it out. She ended her show with a message, “I will always write music and I will always put it out. And I hope that you’re always here. I might never see you again at a live show. Who knows? But I will remember this for the rest of my life.”
