Kathy Bates’ Netflix Original ‘Disjointed’ is highly disappointing

Alicia wants to do stand-up comedy. She also thinks that she will “kill it” her first time onstage. Arthur doesn’t think it’s going to be quite as easy as she thinks. The 2 of them have been fighting about this for 2 days now, so naturally they carried the debate over into New Release Roundup.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2

After they get that out of the way, Alicia reviews upcoming DVD releases including smash hit Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (and a bunch of movies like Mermaids Are Real, so we won’t get into it). Guardians follows up the original motley crew of outlaws in space, and brings its A-game to the soundtrack once again. The sequel will include “Mr. Blue Sky” by Electric Light Orchestra, “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac, “Bring it On Home to Me” by Sam Cooke, “Southern Nights,” Glen Campbell, “My Sweet Lord” by George Harrison, and “Surrender” by Cheap Trick to name a few.

Disjointed

Arthur picks up with a scathing review of the new Netflix Original series Disjointed, starring Kathy Bates. Co-produced by Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men and The Big Big Theory), this laugh-track sitcom revolves around life at a medical-marijuana dispensary. Arthur wonders why Bates would agree to a show that looks full of “tired, cliche-marijuana jokes.” Alicia thinks she’ll check it out.
