Berkeley alum and “Revolution” singer Van William played his worst show ever in the Bay. “We practiced, we got there, I put up flyers all over Cal. And uh, zero people came. Zero. Not one. Not a handful. Zero.
“They made us play three songs in order for us to get our one free beer each. And we did. And I will say it was a riveting performance.”
But he still appreciates coming back. “Mostly it’s about the people. I still have a lot of friends here, a lot of community.”
