The year is 1928. You’re in the Richmond District looking out toward the Pacific on Ocean Beach from Playland at the Beach. This magical spot held amusement rides, midway games, and food concessions once upon a time, entertaining the San Francisco Bay Area until it was unceremoniously torn down in 1972.

Documentary Remembering Playland at the Beach will take you there March 29 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the historic Presidio Officers Club. This free showing includes a dialogue with a filmmakers afterwards.

Space is limited, so get tickets and information here.
