Mike D and Ad-Rock made an appearance on The Tonight Show in support of their new book, creatively titled Beastie Boys Book.
This will likely be the last promotional anything for The Beastie Boys. The massive 571-page autobiography is packed with never-before-heard stories, photos, and input from longtime collaborator Spike Jonze, fan Amy Poehler, founding member Kate Schellenbach, and more. There’s even a “fashion police” chapter written by André Leon Talley (Talley: “I would say this is a look that you might find today on Grindr. This is your pre-Grindr look. And it is not working.”)
In the extended interview with Jimmy Fallon, the guys also shared a select story that starts in San Francisco and ends in a carefully, long-running prank by the late Adam Yauch. Watch below.
Ad-Rock and Mike D will make a stop on their book tour at Nourse Theater in San Francisco on Monday.
