Elle King rocked the Late Late Show with James Cordon Tuesday night with a vivacious “Baby Outlaw” off her recently released album Shake the Spirit.

The country-imbued rock single appears alongside “Naturally Pretty Girls” and “Good Thing Gone” on the singer’s sophomore record, a record about starting over and the “beauty in vulnerability.” She tells Rolling Stone, “I seek connection, and that’s what’s really beautiful about music: I think you can have real music on radio dealing with real fuckin’ things. Getting your heart broken, having somebody cheat on you, feeling ugly, not feeling whole. There’s a lot of things people can relate to on the record.”
