“The manic energy of empowerment,” guitarist Corin Tucker explains of new single “Hurry On Home”.

Earlier this year, Sleater-Kinney announced they were recording in the studio with St. Vincent and have now released their first new song since 2015. In addition to partnering up with St. Vincent, the band joined forces with screenwriter/director Miranda July for the song’s lyric video.

This isn’t the first time Sleater-Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein has teamed up with St. Vincent; they have also written a comedy concert film which will feature exaggerated versions of themselves. No word on when that will be released yet.

Sleater-Kinney will be at The Fox Theater in Oakland November 16th.
