Smiles all around.
A few months ago it was reported that the iconic San Francisco Punch Line’s lease would end August 1st due to Google moving in. Big supporters of the club like Dave Chappelle and Kamau Bell rallied for the comedy club to stay and started the hashtag #SaveThePunchLine.
It has now been revealed that the Punch Line will get to stay at their home on Battery Street for the time being. Negotiators were hoping to renew the lease for 10 years, but so far, no specific details have been announced.
A spokeperson for Google stated, “We’re excited that the Punch Line will remain our neighbor and a vibrant part of the Bay Area community for years to come.”
