Petition To Change Halloween To Last Saturday Of October Gains Traction

Here’s some no-so-scary Halloween news: an online petition is going around to change Halloween from October 31st to the last Saturday of the month.

Some people are all for the change stating it would be easier on their kids for trick-or-treating, while others are totally against it.

One commenter wrote that it should stay on the 31st because, “Halloween, also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows’ Eve, or All Saints’ Eve, is a celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day. If Halloween is on a Saturday that it will not be HALLOWEEN.”

Both valid points.

The petition is looking for 75,000 signatures and, as of now, it has 59,000.

Sign or don’t sign… if you dare!
