Snickers Backs Petition To Change Date Of Halloween, Promises 1 Million Candy Bars If It Happens

Is this a trick or a treat?

Recently, an online petition surfaced to change the date of Halloween from October 31st to the last Saturday of the month. Needless to say, there are very mixed reactions to this potential change.

Now, Snickers has publicly announced they’re backing the petition and will give away 1 million candy bars if the date change follows through.

Understandably, some people on the internet were not very happy, with some tweeting:

“Are you crazy Snickers? Stay in your lane.”

And, “It’s the eve of all Hallows. You’d need to move that in order to make a new date for Halloween actually mean anything. As a comparison, it would be like having Xmas eve on 21 December.”

We think Snickers will have to promise way more than 1 million candy bars if they want people to be happier about the change.

So far, people are not satisfied.
