Probably not the best way to start your morning.

Recently, two Lyft e-bikes have caught on fire, which is prompting Lyft to pull the bikes off the streets of San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose.

A Lyft spokesperson stated, “”Out of an abundance of caution, we are temporarily making the ebike fleet unavailable to riders while we investigate and update our battery technology.”

Hopefully the problem will be fixed soon and we can enjoy flame-free rides in the near future.
