Which show was better: Curb Your Enthusiasm or Seinfeld?

Alicia and Arthur are back with another episode of the New Release Roundup, a weekly rundown of what’s coming to DVD and streaming services this week.

The podcast starts off with the big news of the week: the return of Curb Your Enthusiasm! Alicia breaks down the first episode, which prompts the question: what was the better show, Curb or Seinfeld? Alicia and Arthur agree for once, but you’ll have to listen in to the podcast to find out the choice.

Alicia then gets into the new DVD releases, which include the spooky yet romantic film A Ghost Story, and the underwhelming 83rd installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Dead Men Tell No Tales.

On the Netflix side, this week sees a slew of oldies but goodies coming to the streaming service including Boogie Nights, Eyes Wide Shut, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Tommy Boy just to name a few. Also coming to Netflix is the fascinating MSNBC series Lockup, which gives viewers an inside view of life inside some of America’s most notorious prisons.

Netflix is a little light on their original releases this week, but who can blame them? They have been producing top-notch series at an unbelievable pace the past several years, so I guess they can have a pass this week.
