KFOG Concert for Kids kicks the holiday season into high gear, and on Acoustic Sunrise this Sunday I’ll unveil the first Songs of the Season, and you won’t hear these anywhere but KFOG! They’re originals by singer/songwriters like Keb’ Mo,’ Dar Williams, Box Set, and Zach Gill of ALO.
We’ll also congratulate Grammy nominees Ed Sheeran, The National, Jason Isbell, Jerry Douglas, Kaleo, and Iron & Wine by playing acoustic tracks from their nominated albums.
If you’re planning festivities for Hanukkah, here’s a great live concert to take friends and family to: David Broza at the Regency Ballroom, Tuesday, December 19th. Broza is an Israeli performer who sings in Hebrew, English and Spanish equally skillfully; his music ranges from enthralling ballads in his native tongue, to Moorish flavored Spanish numbers, to Americana singer/songwriter compositions. He is also an activist for peace in the Middle East. Broza is a favorite among musicians across many genres, and has collaborated with the likes of Townes Van Zandt, Shawn Colvin, Jackson Browne, and Wyclef Jean. His sensational live concert at The Masada was broadcast on PBS. He has a staunch Bay Area following and will be accompanied by an accomplished band.
