Tom Papa sits down with Arthur to talk ghosts, Rob Zombie, and gives advice on dealing with family

This morning I had the pleasure of sitting down with one of the most beloved comics in the business today, the multi-talented Tom Papa, while he was in town for his shows at Cobb’s Comedy Club this weekend. You may know Tom from his role on Inside Amy Schumer, one of his dozens of late night appearances, or as the new lead writer and regular performer on Live From Here (formerly Prairie Home Companion).

Tom opened up about the challenge of reinventing the iconic radio show and what it was like having Rob Zombie direct his comedy specials. Plus, he and I go down a rabbit hole on the afterlife after he shows me some terrifying pictures of multiple ghosts that live in his home.

Tom also has a new book coming out June 5th called Your Dad Stole My Rake: And Other Family Dilemmasa collection of humorous essays about his observations on every possible family archetype that you can think of in an attempt to uncover the surprisingly significant moments in our lives.

Listen in to the podcast below and make sure to check out Tom this weekend at Cobb’s.
