Chevy Metal and the Holy S**ts, better known as the Foo Fighters, surprised fans by playing a surprise pop-up show at the Hollywood Palladium’s parking lot to promote their headlining spot at Cal Jam in October. The few who showed up lucked out.
Taylor Hakwins, Foo Fighters drummer, played front man of the “cover band.” Before Dave Grohl joined them on stage, Chevy Metal covered Queen’s “Under Pressure” with Queen drummer himself Roger Taylor. The Foo Fighters played “White Limo,” “Everlong,” and “Gimme Stitches.”
