Amanda Seales of HBO’s smash hit Insecure stopped by the KFOG studios today to talk ahead of her stand-up sets this weekend at Cobb’s Comedy Club.

Honestly, I think I’m still on cloud nine.

Amanda did not hold back. We got right to the point, talking diversity in the entertainment industry, privilege, and how life has changed for her since taking her role on Insecure.

Amanda got her start in the cult-classic Nickelodeon show My Brother and Me and went on to become a writer, producer, MTV VJ, hip-hop artist, actor, and now, stand-up comic. Amanda was recently named one of six influencers who highlight the power of black representation in entertainment today, and she is far from done.

Don’t miss out on Amanda this weekend at Cobb’s and make sure to catch the season 3 finale of Insecure this Sunday night!
