Another amazing slew of shows in the Bay Area this week highlighted by Hozier and Arctic Monkeys playing the Fox Theater and Bill Graham Civic, respectively. While all the Hozier and Arctic Monkeys shows are sold out, there are plenty of tickets available on resale sites, although it’ll cost ya. Same deal goes for 16 year-old phenom Billie Eilishs’ show at the Fox.
Rage Against the Machine bassist Tom Morello brings his new project, a rock/dance combo, The Atlas Underground to an intimate setting at Bimbo’s 365 in San Francisco, for what is sure to be a unique experience. Oakland indie/art pop duo Tune-Yards are back in the Bay playing The Fillmore Saturday night with an increased awareness of the band after scoring Boots Riley’s instant classic Sorry To Bother You.
Singer/songwriter Maggie Rogers returns to the Bay for the first time in awhile for two shows at the Fillmore in advance of her upcoming major label debut, Heard It in a Past Life. And last, but not least psych rock weirdo, MGMT collaborator, and personal favorite of mine Conan Mockasin plays the Castro Theater Monday night in support of his recently released surreal album Jassbusters.
