The week stars off a little slow because of Halloween, but it sure picks up towards the middle and into the weekend. New York indie-rock heavyweights Dirty Projectors bring their revamped lineup to Oakland for a three night run at the Starline Social Club Thursday thru Saturday.
Psychedelic pop/rock super group Mild High Club come to the Bay Area for two shows this week, although their Wednesday night show at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco is sold out, you can still get tickets for their Thursday show at Terrapin Crossroads in Santa Rose.
Catch one of my favorite bands, dream pop sensations Still Corners in a cool intimate setting at Neck of the Woods in San Francisco this Friday.
Vibey chillwave masters Triathalon headline an awesome bill at the Swedish American Music Hall in San Francisco alongside psychedelic dream pop band The Maria’s, fresh off their headlining set at this years 20th Street Block Party.
If you have deeper pockets indie-rockers Cage the Elephant join forces with Metallica for a special benefit show at the Masonic in San Francisco on Saturday night, but it’ll cost ya.
And last but not least another band of indie-rock superstars Cloud Nothings invade the Independent on Saturday night in support of their latest album Last Building Burning.
I know, I know. Not many big name bands in town this week, but it’s still an awesome week of non-household names, so get out their and discover your new favorite band!
