Today I had an absolute blast getting a chance to sit down with comedians Big Jay Oakerson and Mike Finoia for an interview before their shows this weekend at the Punchline Comedy Club in San Francisco.

What was supposed to be a 10 minute interview turned into a hilarious 40 minute conversation about the origin of Jay’s degeneracy, a deep dive into the intricacies of what makes a great comedy club, and a heartfelt discussion about the fellowship of comedians and the ways they have helped each other along the way to achieving their dreams.

Big Jay was recently featured on Netflix’s hit stand-up series The Degenerates and is the host of Bonfire Radio on Sirius XM channel 95. His podcast Legion of Skanks has been downloaded millions of times.

Mike Finoia is a comic, writer, and host of Amigos with Mike Finoia.
