The Foo Fighters were playing a set at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas when a drunk fan jumped on stage to live out (a version of) our dream: sing a duet with Dave Grohl.
The chaotic set had the frontman cracking up on stage as the fan continued on to Taylor Hawkins’ drumset riser. He introduced himself as “Jay from Bombay” and the two sang a cover of The Faces’ “Stay With Me.”
The Foo Fighters were performing throughout the Consumer Electronics Show, a national annual corporate event. Grohl called Jay’s dancing “office party shit.” They drank champagne and covered “Stay With Me.”
Towards the end of the impromptu show, Jay shouts “let’s do it again!” before being removed by security. Says Grohl, “His ass is so fired. I don’t know who he works for. How the fuck are we going to top Jay from Bombay? It ain’t gonna happen.”
This was the Foos’ first concert of the year. Last week Grohl fell off the stage at the same Vegas event, a few years after breaking his leg the same way. Watch fan-shot footage here.
