KFOG Studio Sessions are presented by Marin General Hospital, proudly delivering exceptional care in a healing environment.
From humble beginnings singing in a bar in Nashville, to signing a record deal, Morgxn has come a long way to create his hauntingly fun pop ballads.
His music career started unassumingly in a bar on Honky Tonk Row in Nashville. There Morgxn would have impromptu front-man stints with the house band while he was bartending. What followed was a combination of ambition and a little luck. Morgxn’s singing chops brought him all the way to New York city where he was singing for Broadway plays though in the end it wouldn’t be his final musical stop. After realizing he wanted to write his own music he sold everything he owned to the total of $900 and hopped on a plane to LA. There a fateful invitation to a Grammy party lead to a Yoda-like moment with legendary front-woman Stevie Nicks. After some sage advise from Stevie, Morgxn took that advise and ran with it.
Now he is touring the US and collaborating with artists like WALK THE MOON while writing songs that tell his story, something that he never felt he was able to do as a Broadway singer.
Morgxn joined us for a KFOG Studio Session where he played for a few lucky KFOG radio listeners. KFOG Studio Sessions are exclusive live music events for KFOG radio listeners; the only way in is to win tickets!
