A lot of the music we love is made by mothers. And heaven knows it’s a challenge blending motherhood with life on the road as a practicing musician. Brandi Carlile and her wife Catherine Shepherd take little Evangeline with them while Brandi is on tour, as do many parent/performers these days. You’re as likely to see Tonka trucks and Babar books as bottles of beer backstage these days!
